Grey piping. Grey cap band. Gilt metal wreath badge next to a pressed metal cockade. both attached to a fieldgrey cloth backing. Metal cap eagle with both prongs. Two Kriegsmarine buttons holding the officer's chin strap.
Black leather visor. Leather sweat-band with patina and signs of wear. It is marked with the initials of the officer.
Water-resistant purple color lining with a "Uniform- & Schülermützen Friedrich Kirder" maker's mark.
