LAH photo grouping to SS-Obersturmführer Heinz Lange

Beschreibung

An extensive photo grouping to SS-Obersturmführer Heinz Lange serving with Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler. Awarded with 1939 Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class, General Assault Badge, East Medal and other awards. Involved in the campaigns in Poland, Holland, France, Russia and in the Balkans. Killed in action on 27. July 1943. Buried near Isjum, Ukraine. Including the death notice and a photo of his grave.

The photos document his service very well. Containing nice portrait photos of him and his comrades as well as a large portrait photo in Allgemeine-SS service tunic. A lot of very nice shots from the front. Some photos can be clearly assigned to the campaign in Holland. Also nice to see the 1st pattern of the "LAH" shoulder board cyphers. Photos of his HJ and RAD time. Including two period time visiting cards "Heinz Lange - Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hilter - Berlin Lichtenfelde" and one newspaper cutting from 10. December 1936. The picture to the first page shows him at the "Musterung" military physical examination of the "LAH" in Berlin.

Photo album

It contains photos of his family and document mainly the service of a DRK nurse in a hospital. Nice photos of a Heer Knight's Cross winner and SS officer as well as of a DRK leader. Please note the Allach deer in the background of two photos. Furthermore a DRK identity card to Hildegard Lange. Maybe his wife or sister.

Total: roughly 480 photos

Good condition 2.

(DRK = German Red Cross)
