Heer M40 helmet which once was issued with a single decal. The helmet comes in very good condition and with nearly full "rough" factory paint. The decal, however, was removed after the war. The liner is original to this helmet. It is size 60 marked. The prongs are still flat and look to be unopened. The chin straps shows cracks but is still flexible. It is "Reichsbetriebsnummer" stamped.
There are three clips from a thick wire attached to the helmet. The clips are holding an old camo net. There are no fresh marks which would mean the clipps are attached recently. On the other hands neither the clips nor the net is textbook or something officially issued by the Wehrmacht.
