Beautiful Waffen-SS M43 officer's field cap with clear signs of wear and age and a great patina. The EM/NCO machine-woven insignia are attached by hand. It is hard to make out if there is a dark shadow underneath the insignia but it looks like there is definitely one to the skull. To us, both insignia look period time attached.
The cap comes with white piping and zinc buttons. It is clearly sun bleached and well worn. The silk lining shows sweat staining. The "DEUTSCHE INDUSTRIE" marked sweat-band has about 3cm of its sem opened.
