Document grouping to Walter Haensch. SS-Obersturmbannfuehrer Dr. jur. Walter Haensch commanded Special Command 4b (Sonderkommando 4b) of Einsatzgruppe C on the Russian front between March and July 1942.
He was one of 24 defendants of so-called "Einsatzgruppenprozess" trial in Nuremberg and was sentenced to death in 1948. Haensch has pleated not guilty. Later, his sentence was communed to a 15 year imprisonment. Haensch was released in 1955.
On sale his comprehensive wartime and postwar document. The main part is on his trial in Nuremberg. There are hundreds of documents of his lawyer, of Haensch himself as well as of third person involved in the trial. There are documents until the 1970s when Haensch was still presumed himself not guilty.
One of the folders contains Third Reich period time documents. The majority is on his service time at the Sicherheitsdienst of Reichsführer-SS. The earliest document is a 1.5.1936 dated document promoting Haensch a SS-Unterscharführer. Nice early ink stamp "Der Reichsführer-SS" and original ink signature of SS-Oberführer Siegfried Taubert, later Wewelsburg chief.
The promotion certificates to SS-Untersturmführer, SS-Obersturmführer and SS-Hauptsturmführer all come with a facsimile signature of Reinhard Heydrich.
