Extremely rare field tunic issued to Gebirgspolizei troops. Wachtmeister rank. A typical lightweight police tunic which is "Po 1943" dated and depot marked. It comes with a machine-embroidered "Bromberg" area sleeve eagle attached by machine. Furthermore, there is a machine-attached Edelweiss sleeve badge. A fine hand-embroidered example which held an eagle once. The eagle was removed to provide room for the Edelweiss.
All buttons complete and attached with the original splints.
Originally machine-attached collar tabs. NCO type and matching with the shoulder boards. Interestingly, there look to be EM tabs underneath since there is a second - smaller size - seam visible.
