Personal silver cigarette case to Oberst Karl Brenner, commander of "Polizeiregiment Warschau" form 1939 until 1940. Hand-engraved to the inside:
"Polizeiregiment Warschau 1939/1940 - Brenner - Oberst u. Rgtskdr."

The case was manufactured in Poland and comes with a small silver marking to the closure. The marking shows a "2" and a small picture of a woman. The stamp is typically Polish and indicates "875" silver. The case still comes with the two elastic straps.

Karl Brenner (1895 - 1954) was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 31.12.1944 serving as commander of 6. SS-Gebirgs-Division "Nord" in Finland. Brenner served as "Führer der Bandenkampfverbände" and was infamous for commanding Kampfgruppe Gottberg which was responsible for countless crucial war crimes.
