Privately purchased Waffen-SS visor cap for officers. Tailored by Wilhelm Kern based in Freiburg. Maker marked "Wilh. Kern" to the intact celluloid diamond. Gold color silk lining with signs of wear and age. Moth holes. Sweat-band with stains and signs of wear. Soft. Minor small rips.
Moth damaged grey fabric. Moth damage to the white piping as well. Black velvet officer's cap band. Free of moth damage.
Original cap insignia with matching patina. Chin strap buttons attached with intact prongs.
