A very fine EREL made Heer visor cap for an Artillerie officer. The cap most probably has started its life as a EM/NCO cap. Both cap insignia are EM/NCO types from aluminum. Later, after promotion, he added an officer's chin straps to make this cap an officer type.
Aluminium cap eagle with one prong missing. Green silk lining. EREL SONDERKLASSE PRIVAT marked to the celluloid diamond. "EREL Stirnschutz" marked to the sweat-band. This cap is a rare "Frischluft" pattern with a ventilation hole inside the cockade.
