DLV knife. Made by SMF, Solingen. Maker marked to the blade. The original blue leather cover of the handle and scabbard were removed and then painted black (postwar). Early nickel fittings. "K" marked to the crossguard. Furthermore "DLV" marked to the throat. Original leather hanger in place. 

HJ knife. The knife comes with the etched motto "BLUT UND EHRE!". "Backhaus, Solingen" maker marked and "GES.GESCHÜTZT" marked. Black bakelite grip plates (the front is damaged). Orginal attached HJ diamond. Remains of the original black paint on the scabbard are present. Original leather hanger/belt loop in place.
