Grouping to SS-Obergruppenführer and Reich's Plenipotentiary in Denmark Werner Best (1903-1989).

Werner Best was a high-ranking leader of the NSDAP and SS. He joined the SS in 1931 and was the "organizer" and personnel chief of the Gestapo. From 1934 until 1940 deputy of SS-Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich in the leadership of the SD. During WWII he served until 1942 as an officer in the German military occupation administration of France. Then he became Reich's Plenipotentiary in Denmark "Reichsbevollmächtigter in Dänemark". His SS number was 23.377.

The first page comes with a personal handwritten dedication by Heinrich Müller (1900-1945), SS-Gruppenführer und Generalleutnant der Polizei as well as Director of the Gestapo. He was known as "Gestapo Müller". Dated "July 1935". Knights Cross of the War Merit Cross with Swords winner. A very rare autograph!
