An interesting M42 Wehrmacht helmet with original camo painted brushed to the outer shell. At least three colors were used: khaki, brown, green. About 85% of the original paint it still present. There are some scratches and light rust. The rivets also show camo paint and are definitely original to the shell. So is the liner. The chin strap is missing. A small bit is still present.
While the lot number stamp of the shell is readable the maker's mark it not. It looks to be a size 56 liner and a size 64 shell.
Nicely worn. A rare helmet.
