A so-called "Hilfsschirm". It was a part of the Luftwaffe seat parachute (Sitzfallschirm), used by fighter pilots.
Constructed of white rayon. A crossed metal frame inside. Full strings. "BAL" (Beschaffungsamt Luftwaffe) marked and "13. June 1940" dated as well as "136628" numbered. Furthermore, two other ink stamps. The Luftwaffe product number for this parachute was "FL 30224-1".
