Beschreibung
BESCHREIBUNG ANSEHEN

A nice photo album of the brothers Georg and Ludwig Schäfer. Both served with Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 98 during WWII. 

The album document very well their service on the front. Involved in the campaigns in France, Slovakia, or Balkans as well as in anti-partisan combat in Russia (page 25 & 26). Ludwig was killed in action. Including a photo of his grave (the date is unreadable). Furthermore, a "report" by Hauptmann Georg Bichlmeier, explaining the photos in great detail. 

Total: 183 photos, 166 of them in the album. In addition, two ID cards and one POW postcard. Glued in the album on the last pages.
