Grouping to Obergefreiter Franz Mühlbauer serving with Artillerie Regiment 7, Gebirgsartillerie Regiment 81 and a Kampfgruppe (possibly Kampfgruppe Reichel, the Soldbuch entry is hard to read).

The Soldbuch comes with a photo of Mühlbauer on the first page and was issued in 1940. It was been worn through the entire war (pages are loose, cover separating) and is full of entries. There is one very interesting stamp (26.2.1945): "Rö.Schirmbildtrupp I'm Wehrkreus XVIII". We have never seen this one before. The last pages list all his awards: East Medal, War Merit Cross 2nd Class with swords, Wound Badge in black and Kuban Shield.

Apart form 2 war time military papers there are the certificates to the Wound Badge in black (May 1944), the certificate to the Kuban Shield (August 1944), the certificate to the East Medal (signed by the commander of Geb.Art.Schule Dachstein) and the certificate to the War Merit Cross 2nd Class which was signed by the commander of 97th Jäger Division Generalleutnant Ludwig Müller (recipient of the Knights Cross with Oak Leaves). No document is missing!All document are in good condition.

His medals are also complete. A very nice Kuban Shield still with its paper backing, a tombak War Merit Cross, his East Medal (10 marked) and his Wound Badge.

Untouched and complete grouping in good condition! There will be room for additional research!
