Named Kriegsmarine sailors cap with an extra white summer top. There look to be two names on the label: MATERNE and DIETZ. Both names are listed in the U-Boot crew database.
Nice large size tombak gilt eagle. Separately attached early cockade. The liner is 56 size stamped and "G" marked. No mothing. Removable top so you can display it with a white and with the blue top. KRIEGSMARINE cap talley.
The plastic band underneath the sweat-band is quite dry and shows cracks. The sweat-band is in good condition. 1942 dated and maker marked.
