Original but not untouched NSKK Marine Service Dagger.
We are looking a very rare dagger with a beautiful scabbard and chin. The scabbard is definitely period time black factory paint and comes with matching metal fittings which still come with nearly all of its original gilding. The chain is original attached. The gilding matches perfectly. The chains MUSTERSCHUTZ NSKK KORPSFÜHRUNG stamped as it should be. There is also a RZM M5/8 marking. The clipper is working fine.
A great and very rare scabbard.
The dagger is original but not original to this scabbard. The cross guard were postwar gold finish. One is "I" stamped for some reason which you usually only see with SS daggers. The wooden handle looks fine and the eagle and emblem is original to it. The blade is GOTTFRIED MÜLLER marked and shows the motto ALLES FÜR DEUTSCHLAND. In short, original knife which was certainly restored and upgraded to match the scabbard. You will need a dagger with a 3,5cm wide scabbard to fit the scabbard.
