SS-Geb-Div.Nord grouping to Oscha. Behrens

Beschreibung
Extremely rare document grouping to platoon leader SS-Oberscharführer Heinz Behrens serving with SS-Gebirgs-Division "Nord" during WW2. His main battle fields were in Norway and Finland. Berehens joined the NSDAP on 1.9.1939 and volunteerd to SS-Totenkopf-Standarte in Dachau on 30.11.1939. Berehns was killed in action in January 1945 in West Germany.
 
Certificate to Iron Cross 1st Class. Issued on 20.9.1944, signed by Generalleutnant Emil Vogel (Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves). Issued to Behrens serving with SS-Schützen-Btl.6. Folded once.

Certificate to Iron Cross 2nd Class. Issued on 27.7.1944, signed by SS-Obergruppenführer Friedrich-Wilhelm Krüger (Knight's Cross). Issued to Behrens serving with SS-Schützen-Btl.6. Folded once.

Certificate to the Close Combat Clasp in bronze for 15 days of close combat. Issued on 3.11.1944, signed by SS-Hauptsturmführer Gottlieb Renz (Knight's Cross). Issued to Behrens serving with SS-Schützen-Btl.6. Folded once.

Certificate to the Infantry Assault Badge in silver. Issued on 21.10.1943, signed by SS-Sturmbannführer Richard Benner (German Cross in gold). Issued to Behrens serving with SS-Schützen-Btl. Nord. Folded once. Small piece of modern tape.

Certificate to the East Medal. Issued on 1.8.1942, signed by SS-Sturmbannführer Richard Benner (German Cross in gold). Issued to Behrens serving with SS-Schützen-Btl.6. Folded once.

Certificate to the Wound Badge in black. Issued on 13.11.1944, signed by SS-Hauptsturmführer Gottlieb Renz (Knight's Cross). Issued to Behrens serving with SS-Schützen-Btl.6. Folded once.

Promotion certificate promoting Behrens to an SS-Oberscharführer on 27.8.1944. Signed by SS-Sturmbannführer Ernst Rädeke (Honor Roll Clasp). Folded twice.

Further period time document dating back to his Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS service time which are an excellent source of research.

Part of the grouping is also a photocopy of a 31.1.1945 letter of his Kompanie leader explaining his father who he died. Furthermore a document of his Ortsgruppenleiter confirming he was killed in action South West of Bitsch/Lothringen on 7.1.1945 and his original large size death card. Furthermore a small size photo showing Berehns as a young HJ boy as well as modern reproductions of original photographes.

An extremely rare and very interesting grouping in nice condition to a highly decorated soldier. A must have for every serious collector of Nothern Europe Campaign related collectables.
