Excellent lightly used Waffen-SS EM black Panzer wrapper or « Panzerjacke ». This wrapper was found after the war in the small village of La Gleize in the Ardennes, Belgium. It was displayed in the museum « December 44 Museum » since the opening in the early 1980s. Standard issue SS contract pattern wrap constructed of heavy mid-war quality black wool. The « BeVo » eagle is factory zig-zag stitched. The « RZM » type collar tabs are machine straight stitched, there is no trace of previous collar insignia. The rank chevron is missing. Lining, inner pockets and belt hook support straps are in black rayon. Lining is faintly white ink stamped with size (medium) and maker’s code « 712 ». All buttons present and factory sewn. Matched pair of mid war quality Waffen-SS Panzer EM slip on shoulder straps are included, these have field grey wool under panels and synthetic piping. A superb textbook example.
