A nicely worn Kriegsmarine officer's dagger. Made by Alex Coppel, Solingen.
Etched blade to two sides showing naval motifs. "ASC" maker marked. Typical white handle with intact wire wrapping. It has a fine stress crack. Pommel and crossguard are made from brass. The pommel can no longer be fully tightened and the button to open the scabbard is hard to press. However, it opens and closes correctly. A so-called "Blitzscheide" lightning scabbard. Made from brass.
Around 30 % of the original gilding in place.
Including the officer's portepee and hangers (slightly mismatched, however, worn on one and the same dagger).
