The blade shows the etched RAD motto "Arbeit adelt". Made by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. Maker marked on the reverse of the blade. Also "Ges.Gesch." and "RAD J" marked. Signs of use and pitting on both sides.
Early tombak handle fittings with genuine horn grip plates (1st pattern). No chipping. Black re-finished steel scabbard with tombak fittings. The fitting on the bottom has some dents. All screws are present.
Includes the matching leather hanger. "A" (Assmann) maker marked and dated "37" as well as "RAD J" marked on the back of the snap clip. Full working. Furthermore "Th. Seidbod" maker marked and dated "1937" as well as "1 38 B.A.Fü." marked on the back of the leather. The belt loop has a small hole.
