Heer M35 double decal helmet with its original factory paint covered with "rough" and grey field paint. The helmet was most probably overpainted in the field around 1940/41. The decals were left out. While the eagle decal does look very nice and is about 80%, the national decal looks repainted for some reason.
The chin strap is still very soft and maker marked. Furthermore 1941 dated.
Soft leather liner with modern shoe lace added. Size 55 stamped. The liner is entirely original however looks re-attached to this helmet.
This could also have been happened after re-painting in 1940 of course.
