Early M35 Waffen-SS double decal helmet which was worn throughout the war. It has started its life as a "apple-green" helmet with two decals and over fieldgrey overpainted during the war with another SS rune decal applied. The swastika decal was covered with paint.
We are looking at two SS rune decals applied to this helmet and one swastika decal. The swastika decal is about 40%. The SS rune decal is in good preservation and about 85%.
Apple-green color can be seen where the 1940s fieldgrey paint has worn off. Tiny bits of black paint visible.
"ET64" marked shell. "4372" lot numbered.
Named liner (hard to read). Chin straps with aluminum buckle. Rivets sit very strong.
