Heer visor cap for EM and NCOs worn by a EM of Kavallerie-Regiment 6 and 13. A very early piece with a stamp "geprüft 8.K.R.6" to the sweat-band. The owner must have served with K.R.6 at first and was then sent to K.R.13.
Branch: Cavalry. "Goldgelb" color piping
Insignia: A matching and period time attached set of early tombak eagle and wreath badge. All prongs in place.
Also, there is a Braunschweig skull attached. It was worn as a traditional badge by members of Kavallerie-Regiment 13.
Chin strap: textbook black strap for EM and NCOs. Correct buttons period time attached.
Lining: Fine silver color silk.
Celluloid diamond: intact
Maker's mark: marked with the maker's logo
Sweat-band: Signs of wear. Still very soft. "geprüft 8.K.R.6" marked.
