Luftwaffe visor cap for EM and NCOs. Unlike an officer's cap which was always worn with a silver bullion piping, EM and NCOs had a colored piping that indicated the branch they were serving for.
Branch: Flying troops. Yellow piping.
Insignia: A alumimum cap eagle and wreath badge. All prongs in place.
Chin strap: textbook black strap for EM and NCOs. Correct buttons period time attached.
Lining: Yellow color silk.
Celluloid diamond: most missing
Maker's mark: EREL SONDERKLASSE STANDARD.
Sweat-band: "EREL" marked to the sweat-band. Stains and signs of wear.
It looks to be a EREL "Frischluft" cap which is hard to find when it comes to a Luftwaffe cap. You can see the ventilation hole behind the wreath badge!
