Luftwaffe visor cap for EM and NCOs. Unlike an officer's cap which was always worn with a silver bullion piping, EM and NCOs had a colored piping that indicated the branch they were serving for.
Branch: Flying troops. Yellow piping.
Insignia: A alumimum cap eagle and wreath badge. All prongs in place.
Chin strap: textbook black strap for EM and NCOs. Correct buttons period time attached. Small lack of color on the right side.
Lining: Silver-grey silk lining with heavy signs of wearing. Brown sweatband with also signs of wearing, some damages and cracks.
Celluloid diamond: slightly damaged diamond, with unreadable manufacturer marking.
Size 58 marked.
For more comfortable wearing, once this EM/NCO placed the front page of the newspaper "Stuttgarter NS-Kurier" from the 7th April 1943 under the sweatband.
Beautiful authentic piece. Original in all parts, slightly worn.
