BESCHREIBUNG ANSEHEN
Luftwaffe Ground Badge manufactured by Gebrüder Wegerhoff. Typical manufacturing details. 
"GWL" as well as "RC" marked.
Zinc. Unworn. Condition 2+.
 
What makes this badge extremely rare is that the "GWL" maker's mark is was overstamped with "RC".
 
Gebrüder Wegerhoff has likely sold some of his stock to a third party entity that added his own mark for result sale or distribution.
The exact meaning of "RC" is still unknown however a likely candidate behind the marking might be the firm "Richard Conrad" (RZM code M1/2).
Other "RC" marked badges are known to collectors. See Durante, Thomas M.: The German Close Combat Clasp of World War II, page 304-306.
 
To our knowledge, no other "GWL" and "RC" marked Ground Assault Badge is known today.
