Excellent 1944 tailored field tunic to Hauptmann Altbacher serving with Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 13. There is a July 1944 dated name tag inside of a tailor based in Austria. It is named to "Hptm. Altbacher".
The tunic comes in excellent condition and has probably never seen active service. This tunic he probably planed to take to the field but never did. All insignia are period time attached. The collar tabs are attached by machine, the breast eagle is attached by machine, the hand-stiched officer's Edelweiss sleeve badge is attached by hand.
