Interesting M36 field tunic for an NCO serving with an unknown Gebirgsjäger unit. He kept on wearing this tunic during his time as a POW, The eagle had to be taken off but he was allowed to keep on wearing his 1945 awarded Lappland Shield.
The Lappland Shield is an aluminium constructed example attached to a cloth backing. It is hand-attached to the sleeve.
All Lappland Shield were awarded in June 1945!
Pre 1945 period time machine-attached NCO tress and collar tabs. Correct green collar. Loops for the shoulder boards missing. Buttons in place.
A large repair to the right sleeve holding the Edelweiss. A 13cm x 13cm long bit was entirely and professionally replaced.
One pair of loops for awards.
Typical cotton lining with an "M39" depot marking. Furthermore size stamped and LAGO MÜ. marked.
Well worn with some damage. Condition 2-
