Deutsches Reich 1918 - 1945
Heer Waffenrock

Beschreibung

Very rare Heer parade tunic to a Panzergrenadier Oberfeldwebel. The tunic comes with extremely rare "wiesegrün" piping around the collar, the button line and the insignia. The cotton lining with "Geprüft 5./I.R.15" depot marked. This Unteroffizier served with I.R.15 originally. The unit was destroyed in Stalingrad. It was re-named into Grenadier-Regiment 15 after Stalingrad. At this time of the war, this tunic would have received new "wiesengrün" insignia. The branch color did not exist before 1942.

The shoulder boards (one rank pip removed to earch board) are period time attached. So are the collar tabs (by machine). The machine-woven breast eagle is postwar attached by hand.

The tunic comes with two pair of loops for awards and a set of loops for a ribbon bar. All loops are certainly period time attached!

There is a Tank Assault Badge in bronze attached. A quite rare one marked "EWE". Nice condition. A WW1 Wound Badge in black. A Third Reich period time ribbon bar to a WW1 veteran. These medals would have been added in modern times. The veteran was certainly not a WW1 participant. Parade aiguillette attached to a button underneath the right shoulder board (most probably for a shooting lanyard originally).

What makes since tunic special is a custom made hole for a dagger hanger to go through. The tunic comes free of any serious moth damage. There are just a hand-ful of small bites.

Please note that the buttons were period time displaced. The soldier must have put on some weight and then lost it again.

A very rare tunic Medium size.
