A rare privately purchased police tunic named to "Verwaltungs-Inspekteur Hammer". See previous lot for his tunic.
"Mai 1941" dated and tailored by "Flurschütz Nachf." A tailored teck to the brown silk lining as well as a name tag to the inner pocket.
Oberleutnant Hammer was well decorated and seam to also have served int he field. There is an Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon attached to the second button. Furthermore, there are loops for three awards and 7,5cm long ribbon bar. All loops are period time attached and show clear signs of wear and age.
The tunic comes with an aiguillette. There is no button underneath the right shoulder board to fix it.
All buttons are complete.
There is one repair to the left sleeve just below the shoulder board.
There was a 1943 dated newspaper page inside a rear button.
