A fine privately purchased tunic tailored from Italian gabardine around 1943/44. Complete with all buttons and full insignia.
Collar tabs: Hand-embroidered officer's collar tabs for an SS-Obersturmbannführer. Attached by machine.
Shoulder boards: Red color SS-Obersturmbannführer shoulder boards. Black backing. Red silk piping. Excellent condition.
Sleeve eagle: hand-embroidered officer's pattern. No corrosion. Attached by hand.
Sleeve badges: "Old comrade" chevron. Attached by hand.
German Cross in gold cloth type. Attached by hand. A hand-attached Iron Cross 2nd Class and East Medal ribbon as well as four pair of loops for awards and one pair for a ribbon bar of Close Combat Clasp.
Fine grey color lining. A machine-attached "Ernst Zimmermann" tailor's tag as well as a quality cloth tag.
