An excellent grouping to Feldwebel Heinz Melchart serving as a night fighter with Zerstörergeschwader 1.
Feldwebel Melchart shot down three enemy aircraft in one night. His combat mission was published in the Luftwaffe magazine "Der Adler" under the headline "Drei auf einen Streich - Nachtjagd an der Ostfront" (Three in One Go - Night Fight On The Eastern Front). Four photos published in the magazine are included in this grouping.
