Beschreibung

An excellent and very extensive photo grouping to Oberfeldwebel Erich Ludwig serving with Kampfgeschwader 1./355 ("LEGION CONDOR") and Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur E 14/VII. Spanish Cross in Silver with Swords winner.

The photos show his entire military service, beginning with his basic military training with Nachrichtenabteilung (B) München on 26. May 1935. He was transferred to the Luftwaffe on 18. October 1935 and in July 1937 he was deployed in the Spanish Civil War. The photographic material for this is unique and very rare. After his service in Spain, he served with Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur E 14/VII. Now he already wears the Spanish Cross. In August 1940 his unit was transferred to France. In the further course, he took part in the campaigns in Poland, Ukraine, Russia, and Italy. In Italy, he remained until the end of the war. The last entry is dated 12.05.1945. On the basis of his notes, everything can be understood very well.

Photos of the German aircraft, rare shots of various military vehicles, the Italian armored forces, a parade of the Spanish "Falange", downed aircraft, aerial photographs, LEGION CONDOR parade in Berlin on 6. June 1939, visit of Adolf Hilter in Eutingen, portrait photos, and photos in tropical uniforms (taken in Itlay). His brother served with the Fallschirmjäger. The album also contains nice photos of him.

Total: 1354 photos.

In addition three period time books, three packages of the photo series "Fallschirmjäger" and the magazine "DER LANDSER" (postwar).
