An excellent grouping to Feldwebel Heinz Melchart serving as a night fighter with Zerstörergeschwader 1.

Feldwebel Melchart shot down three enemy aircraft in one night. His combat mission was published in the Luftwaffe magazine "Der Adler" under the headline "Drei auf einen Streich - Nachtjagd an der Ostfront" (Three in One Go - Night Fight On The Eastern Front). Four photos published in the magazine are included in this grouping. 

Squadron Clasp for Nachjäger in Gold. Tombak. Original gilding and black finished wreath. No maker's mark. Comes with the original case of issue. It opens and closes correctly. Mint condition 1-.

Luftwaffe Pilot's Badge. Tombak. Original finish. Both original rivets are in place. "B&N L" maker marked. Comes with the original case of issue. It opens and closes correctly. Mint condition 1-.

1939 Iron Cross 1st Class on screw-back. Three-part construction. Iron core. Original black finish. "L58" maker marked on the back.
