Heer Feldbluse M43

Beschreibung

Extremely rare Heer M43 field tunic for a Gebirgsjäger Oberfeldwebel made in 1944. It was rarely tailored from Italian gabardine. It is the second example we can offer in all these years.

This tunic was period time modified by a tailor due to the personal taste of the owner. Soldiers preferred the more elegant M36 style featuring a dark green collar, dark green insignia and a vertical pocket bar. All modifications were executed period time and definitely prior 1945.
Modifications like these are quite common and give this tunic a unique touch.

Collar tabs: Machine-woven. Green piped Gebirgsjäger tabs. Period time attached by machine. NCO tress attached by machine. Dark green M36 collar.
Breast eagle: Machine-woven officer's pattern originally attached by machine through the liner! The factory eagle was also attached through the liner but removed by him. Not too rare for a 1944 dated tunic.
Shoulder boards: Slip-on boards attached to the originally attached buttons and loops. M36 style.

Buttons: Complete. Period time attached.
Lining: Silk. No damage.
Markings: "M44" depot marked, size stamped and "0/0769/0092" Reichsbetriebsnummer stamped.

The two front side inner belt hook loops were removed. The tunic looks to be slightly shortened (folded!).
