The fabric flag shows the national colors of the German Empire. On each side is a separately attached grey steel helmet, the emblem of the Stahlhlembund. At the top, there is a continuous fabric loop that holds the flag pole. Includes the original packaging paper. It comes with the handwritten text "Stahlhelmbund-Hausflagge - Die Löcher im schwarzen Streifen stammen von Mäusen, die in dem Paket ihr Nest hatten". 

The flag was used on buildings, so-called "Hausfahne/Hausflagge".
