A so-called "Hirschfänger". Around 1830/1840.

The etched ornaments on the blade have been removed (a "reworked" blade). Finely decorated brass hilt fittings with real horn grip plates. Both grip plates have been reattached. Blackened leather scabbard with ornate brass fittings. Including a matching small hunting knife (length 19 cm). This is carried in the additional small pocket on the front of the scabbard.
