Very rare leather crash helmet for glider pilots. "LBA B37" depot marked and dated to the inside of the sweat-band. LBA38 as well as maker marked to the grey cotton lining. BUSSE MAINZ maker marked as well as size 56 stamped. In addition, the sweat-band and the liner is marked with a Luftwaffe eagle and "L.S."
Four ventilation holes to the top and three to earch section of the bottom. Intact leather visor and neck protection neck. Buttons fully working. Minor light rust.
