Luftwaffe leather pattern of a fighter pilot's jacket to Dietrich Koch. A so-called "Reichsverteidigung" pattern since it was issued very late in the war. Most pilots served over Germany at that time. This example is "1944" dated as was tailored from various bits of leather due to the lack of material.

Breast eagle: Machine-embroidered officer's type. Attached by hand with a few stitches. Original stitching holes visible. 
Lining: fine brown silk. 
Collar: Fine purple artificial fur. 

Markings: Peiod time attached tag with a size "IIb" stamp and a "1944" date stamp. Silk. Partially torn. 

Zipper: Working "Kunststoff" sleeve zippers. "Ri-Ri" marked. PRYM marked sleeve buttons in working condition.
Front buttons from wood. Complete and period time attached. 

Connection for the electrical heating system to the sleeves- 
Overall good condition with clear signs of wear and age. Very soft leather.
