Rare Third Reich Postschutz (postal protection) leader's dagger.
Nickel-plated steel blade with the maker's mark of Paul Weyersberg, Solingen. Slight stains on both sides
A blackened wooden handle bearing the Postschutz emblem on the front. No chipping. Nickel-plated fittings (non-magnetic). The crossguard features a black enamel swastika on each side as well as the number "388" on the bottom. Furthermore "DRP" stamped.
Black re-painted steel scabbard with nickel-plated fittings (non-magnetic). All five screws are present. Two insignificant small dents on the bottom fitting.
The original dagger chain is in place. "A" (Assmann) maker marked and "DRGM" marked snap clip. Fully working.
