Extremely rare M17 helmet with original factory paint and both decals applied by the factory. According to our consignor, it belonged to an LAH member.
One side shows an SS decal, the other side the national decal usually worn by members of the Wehrmacht. Both decals show signs of wear and age but are generally around 85%.
The factory color is also around 85% and shows some marks and rust pitting. There are a few dents to the shell as well.
Typical M17 helmet with riveted chin strap loops. Period time attached inner metal ring with original rivets.
Correct leather lining with small metal rings. The leather is still flexible.
