A German made Italian navy officer's sword by Hörster, Solingen. M1880.
Etched blade to three sides as well as "Hörster Solingen" maker's mark. Stains.
Decorated brass basket hilt with a small folding crossguard (to attach the scabbard). A lion's head to the top. Real ray skin finished grip. Intact wire wrapping. Matching portepee.
Leather scabbard with decorated brass fittings. Overall matching patina.
Worn. Condition 3+.
