A superb M1940 Luftwaffe single decal three tone camouflage combat helmet. The helmet is a « Q66 » with a lot number of « 325 ». The helmet's exterior features a matte - flat three tone classic spray applied tan, green and brick brown « Normandy » camouflage finish. Split pins all intact, secured and retain their great camouflage finish. Some combat wear to include oxidation, light scuffs and rim wear. The Luftwaffe decal has been gently sprayed around leaving some overlap, however the thinness of the finish can clearly be seen as to have been deliberately done.The helmets interior remains untouched and undisturbed. Retaining a nice brown leather that is ink stamped with size « 58 » and retaining its original drawstring. Complete with full length chinstrap that is maker marked and dated « bdr41 ». A really choice and difficult helmet to find. Top shelf example.
