A very nice USM1 1st Lieutenant front seam fixed bale medic combat helmet. The helmet is untouched, as found many years ago in the Ardennes, Belgium. The helmet's exterior features a hand painted Red Cross panel and a 1st Lt. rank on the front and the vertical white officer bar on the rear. The shell has use and paint loose along with some battle damage along the top. The helmet shell retains a pair of mid-war web chinstraps which have been period reinforced with a thicker thread. The helmet comes with its original liner, retaining ell over 95% of the green factory paint. The liner is untouched and in its original state and complete. The liner is slightly dusty and dirty. Chinstrap is complete and present as well. Overall a rather difficult and desirable helmet.
