A beautiful and rare USM1 Captain’s combat helmet of the Military Police, named to « Capt. BOYDEN ». The helmet remains in untouched and as-found condition. It features a period white hand painted « MP » initials and Captain rank along the front and the white vertical officer bar at the rear. The yellow band running around the helmet shell overpainted in the classic OD green paint. Factory applied early khaki web straps are complete and present. They also retain the classic brass hardware. The rank and name of the solider are written on them « Capt. BOYDEN ». Comes with its original matching complete liner. The liner features again matching and well executed Captain rank insignia and « ETO » officer bar on the rear. Interior remains all complete. Showing nice signs of period wear, some dust and oxidation naturally present. Comes with its original early leather chinstrap. A perfect set in out incredible condition.
