Wehrmacht, 'standard-issue'-pattern K98-bayonet being a matching example that comes with its period-attached frog. Both bayonet and scabbard bear the makers'-designation and date: 'E. PACK & S. - 1940' and are both showing the (serial-)number: '2600'. The piece has brownish-coloured- and 'Bakelite'-based grips and shows the 'WaA'-markings as usually encountered. The piece retains almost all of its darker-bluish toned finish and only shows minimal wear and/or age. The brownish-black-coloured frog retains all its four aluminum-based rivets and shows an impressed makers'-designation that reads: 'THIELE A.G. DRESDEN - 1940'. The frog is used but is fully souple and functional.
