Outstanding M1940 Heer three tone spray camouflage helmet. The colors are those typically used in Normandy in particular to camouflage vehicles in 1944. The helmet is an « NS64 » with lot number « D120 ». The exterior of the helmet retains a very attractive spray camouflage. In three colors to include a tan, green and red brick. The matte camouflage paints finish rates in at over 98% and have a nice untouched appearance. Light scuffs, scraps and paint loss. Helmet has probably been worn for a short period of time on the field. Evidence of a Heer decal can be seen on the wearer's left side. Split pins, intact, secured tightly and retain their camouflage paint finish. The helmet's interior is in very good condition. The leather liner is ink stamped with the size « 56 » and retains its original drawstring. The original period shortened chinstrap is in very good condition. One of the nicest helmets we have seen in a while and a true choice offering. One of the nicest helmets we have seen in this camouflage configuration. Top shelf helmet.
