Rare early helmet known to have been worn by members of the SD. The helmet comes with its original factory paint. It was once issued with two decals and you can still see traces of a red swastika decal and another decal which is supposed to be a SS rune decal. Both decals were removed. Most probably period time!
The fieldgrey factory paint again is around 85%. The remaining parts are covered with rust.
The shell is "Stahl" (steel) stamped.
All rivets are factory applied and the prongs were never opened. The leather liner is therefor factory applied is well. Soft green leather lining.
Chin strap in goodl condition.
