A very interesting assault gunner's wrapper made from fine linen. A rare fabric to find and certainly issued to troops serving at the "South front". Model with large breast pocket.
Card board buttons. Complete and period time attached. Two rows of buttons to the lower part. Also, two sets of loops to the inside to close it. A clever idea of this factory to make the size more flexibel.
The inner pocket is from HBT material. The sleeve look period time shortened
A quite large part (most probably showing the maker's mark and size stamps one) was cut out.
The jacket was either worn without boards or had the loops and buttons removed. There is a small repaired part to one shoulder. Belt missing.
Clear signs of a removed breast eagle!
The armpits are constructed "open". One was closed, however, by hand with a few stichtes.
